Fees

There is a non-refundable processing fee of $100.00 USD. Online applicants may pay by credit card, electronic check, money order, cashier's check, or personal check. Otherwise, we are unable to process credit cards and electronic check payments. If you plan to pay by a method other than a credit card or electronic check, please make your check, cashier's check, or money order payable to "Caltech - Graduate," and mail the check or money order to the Graduate Studies Office. Do not send cash through the mail. Applicants living outside the United States may also submit an international money order or a check drawn on a United States bank.

Fee Waivers

Fee waivers will be granted to a limited number of students who can demonstrate financial need, or are affiliated with organizations (see the list on the waiver form) which have made special arrangements with our office. Please note that a decision regarding a fee waiver may take from four to six weeks, and will not affect the review of your application. Do not delay submitting an application by the application deadline pending a decision on the fee waiver. Fee waiver requests will be acknowledged via email once the application has been submitted.
