The Research Exchange

The Research Exchange is available to current advanced graduate students and postdocs from underrepresented groups to spend up to 1 week in a research group at UC Berkeley, UC Los Angeles, Stanford, University of Michigan, Georgia Tech, University of Washington, Harvard, and UT Austin.

The Research Exchange visit is intended to allow participants to learn new techniques, develop research and professional collaborations, and network with faculty and fellow researchers that can help facilitate a future postdoctoral or faculty position. The AGEP program at Caltech will provide $1,000 (within California) and $1,500 (for inter-state) for eligible Caltech students and postdocs to spend up to a week at one of the Alliance campuses.

*eligibility criteria: The Research Exchange is open to advanced (post-candidacy) Ph.D. graduate students or postdoctoral fellows at Caltech, who belong to an underrepresented minority group (African American, Chicano/Latino, Native American/Alaskan Native or Pacific Islander), and are US citizens or Permanent Residents.
